How to Enter the
Homegrow Competition
Ready to enter?
Follow these simple steps:
Submit the official California Cannabis Awards entry form online.
You will receive a confirmation email from the organizers along with an invoice.
$250 per entry
(Includes lab testing, chemometric analysis, and medal eligibility.)
Go to
www.sclabs.com
and follow the prompts to Get Started and create your individual account to initiate testing.
Submit 7 grams of properly sealed cannabis flower per entry.
Make sure your packaging is clearly marked with:
- Your Name
- Farm Name (if applicable)
- Email address
- Phone number
Coordinate directly with SC Labs to arrange sample collection.
What Happens Next?
Your flower will be laboratory-tested and scored based on terpene and cannabinoid concentrations. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded strictly on laboratory results.
Pro Tip: Preserve a portion of your original batch. If you secure Gold in any of the 11 chemotypes, you will be contacted by the organizers to schedule pickup of an additional 14 grams for Budist judging and consideration for the live finals.
Golden Bear Finals.
Gold medalists advance to the live Homegrow Finals at the California State Fair. One entry will earn the Golden Bear Trophy and the title: Best Homegrow in California.
